Her program will show you how you can create beautiful pictures of flowers whether you are using a point and shoot or the latest DSLR. Patty is a nature and landscape photographer in the Washington, DC area. Her website, Beautifulflowerpictures.com has great information on taking flower and nature pictures, and her FaceBook page has over 600,000 fans! April 11 Focus FUNdamentals
We will continue our Adobe Camera Raw training with a beginner class on Monday, April 11th at 6:30 at the Croaker library. This class will cover basics of photo editing using Camera Raw and will benefit Photoshop, Lightroom, and Elements users. Hope to see you there!
April 4 Meeting: Ken Conger “The Bucket List Year”
Join us Monday, April, 4 at 6:30 at the James City County Library, 7770 Croaker Rd., Williamsburg (Norge). Join us for the April meeting as wildlife photographer and founding club member Ken Conger presents: “The Bucket List Year”
Ken will present a buffet of spectacular photos captured during his 2015 adventures to Kenya/Tanzania, Chile, Finland, Madagascar and special locations in America. Outside of his wild-life photo tours, in 2015 Ken concentrated on capturing images of rare/endangered, special species on his “Bucket List”. Ken compliments his photos with stories, animal facts, audio and short videos.The program provides a view of a wildlife photographer’s world and the challenges taken in order to capture stunning wildlife images.

February 1 Meeting: Wayne Berry
Join us Monday, February 1, at 6:30 for our next monthly meeting at the James City County Library, 7770 Croaker Rd., Williamsburg (the library in Norge). Our speaker will be Wayne Berry.
Wayne Berry, a retired captain from the Newport News Fire Department, was born and raised in Newark, NJ and currently lives in Hampton. He became interested in photography in the 70’s and started with a Polaroid camera and eventually 35mm film cameras. Trained in New York City, his photographic interests are Street Photography, Portraits and Cityscapes. Currently, Wayne serves as the president of Hampton Roads Digital Photography Club in Hampton, VA. He recently returned from the PhotoPlus Expo in New York and will talk about all the new and exciting things coming in the future for photographers.

Chris Tennant again in Popular Photography
In a spread in the January 2016 issue of Popular Photography, Chris shares a photo of fog over Oregon’s Sandy River Valley. The text explains why he chose a particular white balance setting over several others, with shots showing how the photo looks with the different settings.
